My wife and I moved into our new house in October 2020. We loved the view from our sunroom, so I decided to take a photo of the sunrise every day of the year. I had this idea on January 7 and continued, as often as possible, until December 31.
Below is the video compilation of the sunrises.
I observed in January that the sun peeked out from the valley about 5 minutes after the official sunrise time. I set an alarm to remind me, which I had to adjust daily. The earliest sunrise time was around 6:15 a.m. and the latest was 7:45 a.m.

Something else I found interesting was the movement of the sun. In the video, around mid-June, you’ll notice that I zoomed out to capture more of the mountains. Below is an edited image with the location of the sun in March, June, October, and December. These are days closest to when the seasons changed and the sky was clear.

Early in December I purchased a Ring doorbell that includes a camera and records for a few seconds every 15 minutes. If I were to do this again, I would setup a second Ring and grab images from the video around sunrise.
