Visual notes notes

Recently I gave a presentation on how to take visual notes. To prepare, I created a version of the notes I drew live with the audience.

We covered the forgetting curve and the importance of reviewing notes (top left), how important it is for parents to share key learning points with children (top center), my process for taking notes (top right), types of content to listen for (bottom right), elements of visual notes (bottom center), and a visualization and bullet summary of a quote on working with children (bottom right). The quote is below this image.

The use of object lessons, blackboards, maps, and pictures will be an aid to fixing these lessons in the memory. The teaching of the Bible should have our freshest thought, our best methods, and our most earnest effort.—Ellen G. White, Education, p. 186
